Last updated: 24 October 2026 · App: FitBite (com.fitbite.nutrition)
This Privacy Policy explains how FitBite (“we”, “us”, “the App”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services.
FitBite is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nutrition estimates may be inaccurate. Always consult a qualified professional for health decisions.
1. Who we are

If you publish under a company name, update this section with your legal entity and address before production release.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use FitBite, we may process:
- Account data: email address, display name, authentication identifiers (including Google Sign-In tokens/IDs).
- Profile & goals: age, sex, height, weight, activity level, calorie/macro targets, units, reminders.
- Diary content: meals, recipes, water, weight entries, activity, favorites, scan drafts you create.
- Photos / voice / text you submit for AI analysis: meal photos, spoken descriptions, typed descriptions used to estimate nutrition.
- Health platform data (optional): if you connect Apple Health or Health Connect — steps, weight, active energy, nutrition (read/write as permitted by you).
- Purchase / entitlement data: subscription status via the app stores and RevenueCat (no full card numbers stored by FitBite).
- Device & diagnostics: app version, OS, crash/analytics events (privacy-safe; we avoid meal text, emails, and health values in analytics payloads where implemented).
- Local storage: much diary data is stored on-device (SQLite / preferences).

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on: contract (providing the App), consent (optional health connections; certain notifications; AI scan submissions), legitimate interests (security, basic analytics, product improvement), and legal obligation when required.
5. Sharing with service providers
We use processors that help run FitBite. They process data on our instructions:
- Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics (as enabled).

- Open Food Facts — barcode lookups (public product database requests).

- Backups / logs: retained only as needed for security and operations, then deleted or anonymized.
- Purchase records: retained as required by tax/accounting and store rules.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can:
- Use Menu → Delete account in the App.
- Request deletion via this web page.

FitBite is intended for users aged 16+ (or older if required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age. If you believe a child provided data, contact us for deletion.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted transport, account authentication, access-controlled cloud storage). No method is 100% secure.
11. Permissions
The App may request camera, microphone, photos, notifications, and health permissions. You can deny or revoke them in system settings; some features will then be unavailable.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy where permitted by law.
